Free For all - Open Discussions and DebatesDoes prayer work?If it was inspired then they should still be similar. You're correct that two witnesses don't say the exact same thing, but they at least agree. Like "A robbery happened at 7 am at the Dairy Queen in July" can be reconciled with "Something bad happened in the morning at Dairy Queen on July 23". But those can't be reconciled with "The Mc. Donalds got blown up by an atomic bomb at 5 pm in December." There's a common theme of something bad happening to a restrant, but the last contradicts the first two. If you were in a court and two witnesses had the first and the last accounts would you say that they just dissagreed in minor details? Similarly, the only place they agree is that Jesus rose from the dead, it was in the morning, and it was Mary Magdaline that went. But everything contradicts each other. The number of angels, when the stone was rolled away, how the stone was rolled away, where the angels were, etc. Can you make an account that agrees with all four? I've seen several tries, and they all fail. |
