Christian/Muslim ThreadsJesusAlso who said it was another copy of Jesus ? The verse says 'Shubihah lahum' they THOUGHT it was him. Nothing says a copy of Jesus was substituted. Don't forget that the Romans didn't know what Jesus looked like and had to take Judas to show them which one was Jesus. Most of the Jews didn't know either, only his followers knew. In Addition, the Bible itself is confused on the issueof Jesus, one Gospel says Jesus carried the Cross the other Gospel says Simone carried it. They themselves didn't know which one was Jesus.
Jesus carried the cross until He was to weak and then Simon was forced by Roman soldiers to help Him. So why did the Holy Spirit inspire different accounts that do not agree in every detail? So that men who want a reason to reject His truth can find an excuse. Also why should Roman soldiers know who Jesus was? After all Jesus was a Jew whose earthly ministry was to the House of Israel not the Roman Empire and the fact Judas betrayed the Lord was also to fulfill a prophecy. Purifying Jesus because of the actions of others does not make sense. No man needs to be purified of the blasphemy of others and since Jesus did not sin He does not need to be purified of anything. you have stated the truth , really everyone is responsible for their own sins. why would any one take blame for others sin? that is what i believe. There are so many contradictions in the Qur'an it boggles my mind that anyone would accept it as anything more than a work of fiction.
|
