ArchivedWas Jesus tempted in all ways as we are?I'm sure many believe God can't be tempted in terms of being enticed, but someone can attempt to entice Him. But then again, how would you make that distinction when you include the fact that God was tempted to punish Israel for their sins? (Remember God repented when Moses pleaded for them on one occassion in Exodus 32). Then one can argue by saying God cannot be enticed to do an unjust act. If God were to punish Israel for their sins (or even us) it will be a justified act. Therefore, God did not repent from evil (in terms of an unjustified act), but showed His mercy by repenting from evil (in terms of an act that would bring harm, justifiably so). |
