ArchivedWhere was your Jesus on September 11thPeople, get your facts straight. Christians do not believe that going to church and just believing Jesus existed saves you. If there are people who believe that and claim to be Christian, then they are not really Christian. We are saved if we believe in Jesus Christ, but believing in Jesus does not mean aknowledging the fact that he existed. Believing in Jesus means to believe He is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that He died for our sins. But that is not all Jesus required. Jesus himself said, "If you are not born again, you will not enter the Kingdom of God." Being born again means to turn away from your sinful life and follow Jesus. So if you are sinning on purpose but say, "Hey I am saved by grace anyway," you are not really saved. Muslims believe that you are saved if you do more good works than bad works. That does not save you. You cannot earn your way into heaven, because ALL humans are guilty under the law. Nowhere in the bible, not even the Old Testament, does it say that we are saved by the law. We were always saved by grace. Moses is not saved by following the law. He was a sinner and was saved by the grace of God. Moses along with the many prophets of the Old Testament were saved not because they did more good things than bad, but because they were saved by the grace of God, which is through Jesus. But you say, "Jesus never existed with the Old prophets," but the prophets of the Old Testament were a part of God's plan and prophesied about Jesus and His destiny. They were Christians as well. Muslims believe you are saved by good works. Christians believe you are saved UNTO good works. You are saved as soon as you accept Jesus as your Saviour, but then you have to act on your salvation. This is not my opinion, this is what scripture says. Therefore, according to scripture, Muslims are not saved and "lazy Christians" are not saved. |
