ArchivedSeed Secretly GrowingAre you also going to tell me that Paul was not a Jew also, despite the fact he claimed that he was? Paul used to be a Jew that would kill Christians, but when he ran into Jesus, Paul became a Christian himself. That did not change what his ethnicity was though. Paul was still a Jew, but he no longer followed Judaism. Now let's see if Jesus was a Jew: The Messiah is suppose to be a descendant of Judah, and Judah is one of the 12 tribes of Isreal, which came from Juda who was a Jew. Luke 3 (Verse 23) "And Jesus Himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,........(Verse 33-34)Which was the son of Aminadab, which was the son of Aram, which was the son of Esrom, which was the son of Phares, which was the son of Juda, Which was the son of Jacob, which was the son of Isaac, which was the son of Abraham, which was the son of Thara, which was the son of Nachor." Jesus also obeyed all Jewish law and celebrated the Jewish holidays like the Passover. Remember, no one said law is evil, but we are just not saved by law. And you say Abraham was not a Jew, Abraham is Hebrew. God changed his name to Abram the Hebrew(Genesis 14:13). Jews today are called Hebrew and what language do Jews speak?.......Hebrew. Yes they are Christians, but their ethnicity was Jewish. Being Jewish is not a religion. Judaism is a religion in which most Jews follow. However, there are Jews who believe Jesus was the Messiah, they are known as Messianic Jews. I'm West Indian, but I'm a Christian. Being West Indian is my ethnicity, but the fact that I'm a Christian means that I follow Christ. So the beef you have is not with Jews, but with Judaism which relies their salvation on the law and not grace. |
