ArchivedSpiritual Peripheral VisionThis is all very true. I believe that what one problem seems to be is that the story of Solomon, and his wisdom is Proverbs and Ecclesiastes should be incorporated more into Christianity. Solomon focused on normal everyday life working with other people in a community- whereas Jesus focused on having a driving passion in life. Jesus never focused on the issues of having a marriage or a home or a family or a job in a community the way that Solomon did. What I mean is that Jesus never had the the responsiblity of determining how to use the law. The answers to family and job and law are all found in the words of Jesus - but Jesus had to die on the cross and resurrect Himself. We do not have that as the height of our career. That is not what we were born to do. We have to find ourselves in the world. How will we make a difference in the world? How will we uphold the law or change the law? How will we bring peace or health to people? ex:We can bring health by being a physician. We know the truth. We do not need to be worried or afraid of false doctrines. We just need to only take what people say as truth if it stated in Scripture. Anything else is relative. |
