ArchivedChemical DepressionThere's no shame in admitting that there's a problem. I went through much of what you already have - not wanting help (that forces you to admit that you can't do it yourself), feeling that the rest of the world must be pretty messed up if they can't see how depressing life can be. The fact of the matter is that depression is a serious disease and can be helped - either through medication (which I personally am against) or through therapy (if you can find the right kind of therapy). Sometimes all you need are friends that are willing to help. I'd like to say that I do check the forums here daily if you need assistance. I'm certain that there are others on the board willing to lend an ear or offer advice - you have friends that want you to feel better |
