GAY DAYS AT DISNEY EXPANDS

A gay couple held its holy union ceremony at Walt Disney World during Gay Days in late May, marking the increased size and diversity of the event, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.
Now one of the state's largest tourist events, Gay Days began as a one-day informal event 12 years ago. It's now a full week of events that draw about 125,000 gays and lesbians to Central Florida, adding an estimated $100 million to the local economy.
This year's festivities included a Latino music party, lesbian comedy night, hip-hop party, Catholic Mass and the wedding. For the first time, too, Gay Days acquired corporate sponsors: Bud Light beer and First Union bank.
