esch and false prophet, etc.
I put the panmillenial in there as a joke. You know what a panmillenialist is? He's someone who's sure it will all "pan out" in the end.
This is an oversimplification, but an amillenialist does not believe in a literal 1000-yr. reign of the Lord Jesus. They do believe the Lord is returning, at least generally, but they have a tendancy to interpret end-time prophecies as not very literal; there is much room to "spiritualize" interpretation.
Premillenialists, on the other hand, believe that when the Lord returns, He will set-up an earthly kingdom for a literal period of 1000 years--a millenium. After that, there will be subsequent events like the loosing of Satan for a period, a judgement of the wicked (the Great White Throne), and later, eternity...Some of them have it all figured out with the charts on the wall-- sometimes a couple of sets of charts after the revisions...
Post-millenialists believe that the millenium has already taken place, in a sort of quasi-spiritual way, and now that it's ended, we're locked into a battle to make the kingdom happen. This view almost went away after World War II. Only a few people believe it today.
There are many subtle variations within each of these major viewpoints, but these distinctions between amillenial and premillenial may help you when you run into them again, friend.
I really hate it when people try to belittle others with some presentation of superior learning or knowledge. Often all they're doing is using big words that they themselves only superficially understand.
But back on topic: It would seem entirely possible that both the Beast and the False Prophet could be possessed. Certainly demon possession still literally happens today.
