According to Islam, the prophet Mohammad supercedes Jesus Christ, yet..
According to the Quran, Christ was sinless (Sura 3:46), yet Mohammad was a sinner and needed repentance (Sura 40:55, 42:5, 47:19, 48:2). Also, when he allowed the worship of the Three Daughters of Allah, he was said to have been under the influence of Satan. That would be considered a sinful act to let the Devil influence you. Hadith also records Mohammad saying: "O my Lord! FORGIVE MY SINS and my ignorance. FORGIVE MY SINS of the past and of the future, which I did openly or secretly. (Vol. 8, no. 407) Jesus was born via a miraculous virgin birth (Sura 3:45-47), yet Mohammad was born just like any other man. In Hadith, Volume 4, Number 506, narrated Abu Huraira it says: "The Prophet (Mohammad) said, 'When any human being is born. Satan touches him at both sides of the body with his two fingers, EXCEPT Jesus, the son of Mary, whom Satan tried to touch but failed, for he touched the placenta-cover instead." Notice that Mohammad doesn't include himself in this, so he must be a sinner also . Jesus is the only exception to this. Most Muslims, as far as I know, hold Hadith in high esteem. Taking all that into account, Jesus looks like the greater of the two (although He is much more than a "Prophet") just from Islamic narratives. So, in conclusion, Mohammad cannot be a greater Prophet than Christ Jesus.
