Why in the Name of Jesus Christ ?
It is truth that the Lord Jesus Christ did command his disciples that should go forth and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28 :19-20). However, Peter was among the eleven apostles when the Lord commanded them to baptize on that wise, but Peter himself in the day of Pentecost did his first sermon, saying exactly as follows : “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2 :38) ; as it came to pass also during the convertion of Cornelius and them that stood by him, after they did hear, through Peter, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Who sent upon them the Holy Ghost. Then, Peter commanded them to be baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 10 :43 and Acts 10 :48).
The Lord Himself after his Glorification did establish to Paul an apostle (Galatians 1 :21) ; and Paul did as Peter had done (Acts 19 :1-5), as well as Phillip (Acts 8 :4-16). Then, can you answer yourself the last question of 1 Corinthians 1 :13 ?. In addition, see Galatians 3 :27 ; Acts 4 :12 and Acts 22 :16 ; Joel 2 :32 ; Romans 8 :9 and Romans 6 :3-4 ; Luke 6 :4-6.
According to Acts 5 :29 ; “Peter and the other apostles answered and said ; We ought to obey God rather than men”. Then, Why they didn’t do like as Jesus Christ commanded them according to Matthew 28 :19-20 ?, and Why none of the apostles did baptize after Jesus Christ’s commandment ?. If you cannot find within the Scriptures a reading in which Jesus Christ’s disciples did BAPTIZE IN THE NAME OF THE Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost ; can you explain it ? ; were the apostles disobedient to Jesus Christ’s commandment ?, or are the Scriptures perverted (changed) ?.
The Lord Jesus Christ said unto the eleven disciples that should go forth and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost ; teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you (Matthew 28 :19-20). But, before He should go up to heaven, He said them : “But ye shall receive Power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you ...” (Acts 1 :8). Therefore, we may understand openly from the Scriptures that every one of His disciples, Who did baptize in the Name of Jesus Christ, did it having before received the Power of the Holy Spirit.
Did the Holy Spirit allow that the disciples should baptize in a wrong name ?. God forbid, but Jesus Christ Himself did tell them that they should wait for the Power from the Holy Spirit. In addition, if we read slowly Matthew 28 :19, it is written : ... in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. The words Father, Son and Holy Spirit are not names ; moreover, it is written in the Name rather than names, which means that only one Name answers to Matthew 28 :19, and it was undestood on this way for the first brethren through the Holy Ghost. They did that which the Holy Ghost commanded them to do. They were not disobedient unto Jesus Christ’s commandment, but God Himself worked on this way that should be separate the true disciples from among them which are not true, but false. All of them that baptize after Matthew 28 :19, do it of themselves, being disobedient unto the Holy Ghost. If we have received the God’s Spirit, we cannot be against the work of Peter, Paul, Phillip and other true brethren. The words “in the Name of ...” show themselves that must be followed of the Name Jesus Christ ; for there is none other name (but Jesus Christ) under heaven given among men, whereby we must be Saved (see Acts 4 :12). A-men.

Hello again, Hernan. You must be an angel sent from God! I prayed and waited for a witness to the glorious Truth of baptism in the name of Jesus. I invite your support on the threads, "Critical Identity of Baptism" and "Few Were Saved By Water", Christian Debate Forum. But I must warn you...there are some on this forum who are openly hostile to this precious Truth. They claim Christianity but speak as serpents.
