What is it ?
It is an external sign due inmost changes, which the Lord’s Spirit works upon our spirit. It is an Obedience Oath to Jesus Christ, Who is the Head of the True Church. The Baptism was established by the Lord, and through it, with perceptible signs, the God’s Work both is shown and sealed upon the believer, who at the same time, makes fast his (or her) Faith and Obedience unto God.
The Baptism represents the believer’s sins washing ; but Baptism itself is of none strength at all whether the person, who comes forth to be baptized, has not full assurance of Faith in Jesus Christ (1 Peter 3 :21-22 ; Matthew 24 :13).
The believer in Jesus Christ must be baptized. When he (or she) is baptized, whether be a young or a grown up person, this must confess Faith as, from henceforth, Jesus Christ’s follower, On this wise, every one of them must go after the Lord and obey Him. Otherwise, his (or her) Baptism is of none strength at all.
When and How to do the Baptism ?
When a person comes forth to be baptized of the Lord, whether be a young or a grown up person, who is in age of discretion and, therefore, having obtained a full assurance of Faith in Jesus Christ, believing and loving the Lord’s Sacrifice on the Tree ; as well as the Lord’s Resurrection, Glorification (the Lord’s went up to heaven), and in His very soon Second and Last Coming. On this wise, to them that believe in His Name above any other name which is invoked, and love Him above any person or thing ; then the Lord’s Spirit Himself leads to the spirit of that person to think (feel) that it is time to be baptized.
The only right way to do it is as follows :
a- Immersion, the whole person’s body ought to be under the water surface (Hebrews 10 :22 ; Colossians 2 :12 ; Romans 6 :3-4).
b- In the Name of Jesus Christ, for there is none other name whereby we must be Saved (Acts 4 :12).
Why immersion ?
The Lord Himself did it on this way, and we must do it as He taught us (Matthew 3 :13-17 ; Mark 1 :9-11 ; Luke 3 :21-22). Wherefore, the Baptism means that we are buried with Jesus Christ, thus our old man (life) remains under the water and we be born again when go up straightway out from the water (John 3 :1-7 ; Colossians 2 :12 ; 1 Corinthians 15 :29). The Lord considers us his Children (sons and daughters) hereafter (Galatians 3 :26-28 ; Romans 6 :1-14 ; 1 John 3 :1-24).
The Baptism both of babes and of little children that have not an assurance of Faith (because they are not in age of discretion) and without immersion, it is a men crooked doctrine, which is against the Truth. These men betraying the Lord would pervert (change) Jesus Christ’s Gospel. For, both babes and little children are holy if, at least ; one of their parents is sanctified of the Lord (1 Corinthians 7 :14). Please, search out : Hebrews 10 :28-30 ; Numbers 35 :30 ; Matthew 18 :15-22 ; 2 Corinthians 13 :1 ; 1 Timothy 5 :19-20 ; Isaiah 19 :19-21 ; Matthew 24 :14 ; Mark 16 :15-16 ; Luke 24 :47-49 ; John 8 :17 ; 1 John 5 :7-8 ; Matthew 28 :19-20 ; 2 Corinthians 3 :17.
Why in the Name of Jesus Christ ?
It is truth that the Lord Jesus Christ did command his disciples that should go forth and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28 :19-20). However, Peter was among the eleven apostles when the Lord commanded them to baptize on that wise, but Peter himself in the day of Pentecost did his first sermon, saying exactly as follows : “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2 :38) ; as it came to pass also during the convertion of Cornelius and them that stood by him, after they did hear, through Peter, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Who sent upon them the Holy Ghost. Then, Peter commanded them to be baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 10 :43 and Acts 10 :48).
The Lord Himself after his Glorification did establish to Paul an apostle (Galatians 1 :21) ; and Paul did as Peter had done (Acts 19 :1-5), as well as Phillip (Acts 8 :4-16). Then, can you answer yourself the last question of 1 Corinthians 1 :13 ?. In addition, see Galatians 3 :27 ; Acts 4 :12 and Acts 22 :16 ; Joel 2 :32 ; Romans 8 :9 and Romans 6 :3-4 ; Luke 6 :4-6.
According to Acts 5 :29 ; “Peter and the other apostles answered and said ; We ought to obey God rather than men”. Then, Why they didn’t do like as Jesus Christ commanded them according to Matthew 28 :19-20 ?, and Why none of the apostles did baptize after Jesus Christ’s commandment ?. If you cannot find within the Scriptures a reading in which Jesus Christ’s disciples did BAPTIZE IN THE NAME OF THE Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost ; can you explain it ? ; were the apostles disobedient to Jesus Christ’s commandment ?, or are the Scriptures perverted (changed) ?.
The Lord Jesus Christ said unto the eleven disciples that should go forth and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost ; teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you (Matthew 28 :19-20). But, before He should go up to heaven, He said them : “But ye shall receive Power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you ...” (Acts 1 :8). Therefore, we may understand openly from the Scriptures that every one of His disciples, Who did baptize in the Name of Jesus Christ, did it having before received the Power of the Holy Spirit.
Did the Holy Spirit allow that the disciples should baptize in a wrong name ?. God forbid, but Jesus Christ Himself did tell them that they should wait for the Power from the Holy Spirit. In addition, if we read slowly Matthew 28 :19, it is written : ... in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. The words Father, Son and Holy Spirit are not names ; moreover, it is written in the Name rather than names, which means that only one Name answers to Matthew 28 :19, and it was undestood on this way for the first brethren through the Holy Ghost. They did that which the Holy Ghost commanded them to do. They were not disobedient unto Jesus Christ’s commandment, but God Himself worked on this way that should be separate the true disciples from among them which are not true, but false. All of them that baptize after Matthew 28 :19, do it of themselves, being disobedient unto the Holy Ghost. If we have received the God’s Spirit, we cannot be against the work of Peter, Paul, Phillip and other true brethren. The words “in the Name of ...” show themselves that must be followed of the Name Jesus Christ ; for there is none other name (but Jesus Christ) under heaven given among men, whereby we must be Saved (see Acts 4 :12). A-men.
