Christian/Muslim ThreadsQuran Came from 2Bro, a range of Muslim scholars, and ex-Muslims, who have studied Islam and Arabic, state that the Koran has been tampered with, and changed several times.
Notice there are virtually no ancient Koranic manuscripts, yet alone any hadith sources; which basically means that we have no significant historical evidences for the Koran or Muhammad upto year 700 AD.
The oldest Koranic sources you possess disagree by comparison, even one of them is keept in secrecy.
The oldest copy found in Yemen just a few years ago contains difference on a large scale.
The Koran contains contradictions and scientific and historical absurdities as we have been through on this forum several times. Just to mention av few:
Jinns and shooting stars, and now supernovas which is even more ridicolous, not to forget the exact description (not poetical statements) but theological and scientific that the sun and moon orbit around the earth.
Or how do you explain that Moses read the Injeel?
Was the heaven and earth created in six days or eight days, and which was created first?
Why is Satan cursed for not worshipping Adam, according to Satan, remember, the matter concerned the worship of Allah only.
How do you explain that the Koran claims to completely unite in the teachings of the previous Scriptures when in fact they are so different.
How about the special right given to Muhammad to marry any and as many womens he finds interesting and attractive, even a seven year old girl (I cant remember did he marry her before the revelation was given, well, what difference does it make anyway).
Would God really allow his followers to rape slave girls and even captives of war?
How about the idea that Muhammad was influenced by Satan, as the Koran also indicates.
How do you explain the burning of Korans? What did they have to hide? And how do we find out anyway since there are no real evidences except oral transmission, which is highly questionable (can we even believe the collection of Islamic traditions?).
Why do the earliest mosques in Egypt turn toward Jerusalem rather than Mecca? Is it possible that Islam merely was pure Judaims before year 700 AD and the creating of the Koran (the traveller Jacob Odess reveals the same from Medina 705, Muslims are still praying toward Jerusalem).
I could continue to the endless, however that is not the issue here. The issue is that you are so convinced that the Bible is changed because some scholars assume that, and the Bible is so full of contradiction. But has it occurred to you then, that as a Muslim you need to perceive the Quran in the same way.
I am sure you can throw all sorts of questions against me, even some which I will have to spend time figuring and and studying before I am able to reply.
But the bottom fact is, that I can do the same to you.
If you expect Christians and atheists and neutral scholars to stop their attacks against the Koran, which basically in most cases is not attacking but just pure matter of research (I dont see why you cant take that), then I would assume Muslims should be the first to show some respect against the previous holy revelations.
There is nothing as bizzare and desperate and ridicolous to simply claim corruption over everything else simply to save your own faith, especially when your own book contains ridicolous statements and scientific, theological and historical fallacy, not to forget the such an amount of immorality.
Be courteous when you argue with People of the Book except with those among them who do evil. Say: “ We believe in that which is revealed to us and which was revealed to you. Our God and your God is one”. (29:46)
The Messenger believeth In what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith, each one (of them) believeth in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messenger. “We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of his messengers.” And they say: “We hear, and we obey: (we seek) Thy forgivness, our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys” (Sura 2:285)
O ye who believe! Believe in Allah and his Messenger, and the Scripture, which He sent to his messenger, and the Scripture which he sent to those before (him). Any who denieth Allah, His angels, His Books, His messengers, and the day of judgement, hath gone fare astray (Sura 4:136)
Dont be so naive bro!
But be be blessed
Kai
