Did not Jesus cry out on the cross "Elahi, Elahi, Lama Sabachthani"?
In Arabic it would have been "Ilahi, Ilahi, Lama Taraktani" or something like that.
My reason for this post is that many Christians wrongly claim that Allah is a false God.
Allah is a shortened form of Al-Ilah, as in Ilahi or Elahi or Eli or Eloah or Eloh or Elohim.
These all mean the same thing as the word El (The Power) as in El-Shaddai.
Many of our Arabic speaking Christian brothers would be offended to see that English speaking Christians are practically accusing them of blasphemy.
In the Arabic translation of the Holy Bible, the word Allah is used for the word God.
My brothers. The Muslims don't call on the name of a false god, they call on Allah which is the literal translation of the word Jesus cried out on the cross.
The only difference is in what we believe about God.
The only difference is that Muslims see Elohim as one personality, and Christians see Elohim as 3 personalities namely Yahweh, Yahshua, and Shekhina.
