That God allowed the deaths means, however, that He was able to use this incident.
It is really important to understand that pain is not wasted in God's economy. It is not His perfect will for man, but it is part of His admissive will. If evil and/or sin and/or blasphemous beliefs were not punished by God, who would have any idea that He cared at all?
He does care. Immensely. There is not a soul whose body died in the tsunamis which was not a child, and therefore His anyway, or a determineda believer or non-believer. This I know, that no adult who was unsure (except those mentally incompetant to understand and decide) died in that disaster. God knows the heart and He cares for each human being more than we can really understand.
The fact that there is such an enormous response to the Christian message in the disaster areas right now is evidence that those who were hesitant were saved so that they could make a decision one way or the other.
That decision is the most important one anyone ever makes. It involves the very reason we were created in the first place.
