ArchivedSOME CONTRADICTIONS IN THE BIBLE :: Re: SOME CONTRADICTIONS IN THE BIBLEIt's obvious Peter equated Jesus's mode of death with being crucified on a tree and after all, what were crosses made of? Huh? Wood from a tree. The more important point to notice is that Peter believes that Jesus was none other than The Suffering Servant of Isaiah 53. Verses 21-25 are full of reminiscences and quotations of Isaiah 53, the supreme picture of The Suffering Servant of God, which came to life in Jesus. He was without sin and yet he was insulted and he suffered; but he accepted the insults and the suffering with serene love and bore them for the sins of mankind. |
