The enemy of which Omega is speaking is Satan. You've heard of him, haven't you? He was that fallen angel that thought he was better than God, and rebelled. God cast him and the angels that followed him out of Heaven, and they will be thrown into the Lake of Fire at the end of time.
You most likely will not see this enemy. Though some ARE plagued by demons (I believe I am one of them and I KNOW my fiance and Omega are too), they usually take the subversive approach. They will try to influence you into compromising your morals or worse: they will try to make you lose or corrupt your faith! Stay firm in what you believe and know your scripture and they can't lay a finger on you!
While it is important to be wary of the advances of the enemy, do not be afraid! They lost the battle 2000 years ago when Christ died for our sins. Rejoice in the Lord's victory, and you can see the Devil as almost laughable!
You wanted some encouragement in why Omega is so strong in his faith....well I'll tell you what has strengthened ME: God's faithfulness in my life is never failing. Though he doesn't always answer my prayers, He has done AMAZING things.
As you know, God tends to work generationally, so I feel it is important to start with my grandmother. When my mom was a girl, my grandmother was suicidal. She told God that if He didn't prove He existed, she would kill herself. He proved it allright! An angel showed up that night! The whole family saw it. Then there is my mom. She suffered a horrible childhood, filled with abuse. BUT it is so evident that God is still with her, even when she is not with Him! He takes such good care of her. He sent her dreams of encouragement, prophetic dreams that always came true, to remind her that He was real. She prayed for them to stop (most of them were disasters she could not prevent) and they DID! Mom was always at the right place at the right time to see all sorts of cool things. It was not coincidence, it was GOD! Then there is me. I have had a hard life, too. My grandparents disowned their own son when he remarried! For years, I had 3 of every holiday. God was waiting for me to realize that I had the power (being the only person linking my family together anymore) to stand up for the unity of my family. As soon as I realized this, all God required of me was to ask my grandparents if we could have Christmas together, and it was DONE! God had been preparing their hearts while He was strengthening mine!
I could go on all day about the wonders God has shown me, but this post is getting kinda long
I hope this encourages you, my Brother.
Love in Christ,
Amadeus
