Christian/Muslim ThreadsQuran might be the final testament of God...Here is an example of how the commentators on that website are in error. Apparently the commentator of that website missed a very significant point which he/they failed to notice, specifically in the text of John 8:58. In this passage in scripture Jesus was speaking in Hebrew and not Greek and used "EHYEH" and did not say any of the Greek words in the passage. As a matter of fact, the author John actually translated Jesus' actual dialogues in Hebrew to Greek in his gospel. The Hebrew text or the LXX shares mahy likeness of that found in John 8:58 and that of Exodus 3:14 where YHVH is "I am" so Jesus was most likely speaking in the Hebrew language in the actual account and John may have chose to use the LXX translation of EHYEH when it had first occured in Exodus 3:14 as ego eimi to give an account of Jesus' words to the Jews in John 8:58, and the very fact that the (LXX) renders "EHYEH" as ego eimi more than once, proves clearly why John 8:58 and Ex 3:14 refer to the same Title. Biblical scholars have come to the conclusion that the closest Old Testament title of Jehovah that precedes John 8:58 is found in the "I am" sayings of Isaiah, and concluding that Jesus was claiming to be Yahweh God Himself! The hebrew words 'ani hu' is used by Jehovah God only and signifies that Jehovah alone is God. The Phrase 'ani hu' occurs 6 times in Isaiah 40-55 (41:4; 43:10; 46:4; 52:6; 45:18 twice) and is translated by the LXX as "ego eimi", the same group of words are found also in John 8:58. (52:6 is translated by the LXX as {ego eimi autos at.} Furthermore, the phrase "anoki anoki hu" is found two times in the Book of Isaiah 40-55 (43:25; 51:12) and the LXX translates it as "ego eimi ego eimi". What the commentators must realize is that the Septuagint (LXX) translates it "ani hu", which is only given to Jehovah in Isaiah 40 through 55, as "ego eimi". 'Ani' alone is translated by the (LXX) as 'ego eimi' found in Isaiah 47:8,10 where Babylon says, (" I am, and none else beside me..") By understanding this we can see that this is considered blasphemous by making claim and echoing the words of Jehovah, and this further proves that Jesus was speaking as deity. So by the differences used between Jehovah and Babylon clearly confirms this as Truth. Keep searching scriptures and study yourself approved to God, there are many divisive doctrines out there and many false teachings which can lead to a departure of your faith! Jesus is God incarnate and shed His precious Blood and by doing so, all who call upon His name in Faith may receive Eternal Life, the Enemy comes to take life away from you and to steal the crown which you have earned freely by the Grace of God, take heed and be not deceived my friend because I tell you ahead of time.
