Christian/Muslim ThreadsTen CommandmentsThat is why their beliefs are just as false as Islam’s. “Christian” sects that do not adhere to fundamental Christian doctrine are called cults. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; (2 Timothy 4:3) That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; (Ephesians 4:14) This, and the other arguments you make after (about being begotten of God) are fair arguments you are making, and I can agree with them. But you did not disprove the Trinity, because when proving the Trinity, Christ being begotten of God is not the only argument. Saying Christ is God in the flesh because He is begotten of God is supported through other Biblical passages when used in their context, and not on the saying itself. Since we both agree that the Father is God, the Holy Bible will persist in showing you that Jesus and the Holy Spirit is God: Jesus and God: Who is omnipotent (all powerful)? God (1 Chronicles 29:11 ), Jesus (Philippians 3:20-21). Who resurrected Jesus? God (Acts 4:10), Jesus [John 10:17-18]. Who has all authority and power? God (1 Chronicles 29:11), Jesus [Matthew 28:18]. Who forgives sin? God (2 Chronicles 7:14), Jesus (Matthew 9:6). To whom shall every knee bow? God (Isaiah 45:22-23), Jesus (Philippians 2:10)—More available upon request. Holy Spirit and God: Who gives eternal life? God (Proverbs 19:23), Holy Spirit [Ezekiel 37:14, John 6:63, Romans 8:2, 8:6, 11, 13, 2 Corinthians 3:6, Galatians 6:8]. Who gives power and authority to man? God (Psalms 68:35), Holy Spirit (Micah 3:8, Acts 1:8, 20:28 Romans 15:19, 1 Corinthians 2:4, Ephesians 3:16, 4:3, 1 Thessalonians 1:5). Who has authority and power? God (1 Chronicles 29:11), Holy Spirit (Micah 3:8, Luke 1:35, 4:14, Romans 15:13, 19, Ephesians 3:16). Who is eternal? God (Genesis 21:33), Holy Spirit (John 14:16, Hebrews 9:14)—More available upon request. Psalm 2:7 is not referring to David as God’s only begotten Son, it is a Messianic prophecy about Christ Himself. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed[Galatians 1:8-9]. God prophecies and forewarns, He does not edit. Therefore, the Holy Bible has already forewarned the false revelation of your religion. Your statement does have some basis, because the Holy Bible does prophesy about the religion of Islam. The only thing is, it makes a negative prophecy on Islam to show that it will be a false revelation and people will be deceived. The Holy Bible does not, however, prophesy that Islam will be the true revelation of God in the future. If you are going to use the Holy Bible to show that Islam is a true religion of God, Eisegesis (reading into a text a meaning its original author never intended, or your own meaning) is being used and exegesis (getting the true meaning of the text by reading/studying its context) is not being used. |
