ArchivedErrors in the Bible?Alpha Wrote I'm tryin, lol Unite Wrote First of all in my previous post I have posted Hadeths that state that During the battle of Yamama, 450 reciters of the Quran were killed. ”(The True Guidance, An Introduction To Quranic Studies, part 4 [Light of Life - P.O. BOX 13, A-9503 Villach, Austria], p. 47- citing Ibn Kathir’s Al-Bidaya wa al-Nibaya, chapter on Battle of Yamama) According to another source, when these men died they took with them portions of the Quran that they alone had memorized: Zuhri reports, 'We have heard that many Qur'an passages were revealed but that those who had memorised them fell in the Yemama fighting. Those passages had not been written down, and following the deaths of those who knew them, were no longer known; nor had Abu Bakr, nor `Umar nor `Uthman as yet collected the texts of the Qur'an. (Burton: The published text ought here to be amended: for "fa lamma jama`a Abu Bakr", I propose to read: "wa lamma yajma` Abu Bakr", to follow: "lam yuktab".) Those lost passages were not to be found with anyone after the deaths of those who had memorised them. This, I understand, was one of the considerations which impelled them to pursue the Qur'an during the reign of Abu Bakr, committing it to sheets for fear that there should perish in further theatres of war men who bore much of the Qur'an which they would take to the grave with them on their fall, and which, with their passing, would not be found with any other. pp. 126-127, Abu Bakr `Abdullah b. abi Da'ud, Kitab al-Masahif) Second of all the difference between Dalai Lama's inspiration and that of the Gospels is the person that inspired the Dalai Lama's wasnt the same entity that inspired the writers of the NT. God himself Inspired the writers of the OT and NT. You stated that the Quran is a revelation not a inspiration, who reveled the Quran to Mohammed? was it not the "angel Gabreil"? Why didnt Mohammed ever actually speak to God or get a revelation directly from God instead of this "angel"? Why didn't God speak to him directly like with Moses? You put too much trust in this angel who calls himself Gabriel. Unite Wrote The Quran teaches Muhammad was a sinner because he was personally commanded to REPENT of sin! And why not? Who is Muhammad? God? Only God has never sinned. This is why Jesus is superior to Muhammad. Jesus never sinned and was God incarnate in flesh for the purpose of dying on the cross to save mankind with his blood patterned after the Passover lamb of the Jews! The Quran says the following concerning Mohammed; Sura 40:55: "Ask forgiveness of thy sin". Sura 18:110, "Say, I am but a man like yourselves." Sura 48:1-2, "Lo! We have given thee, (O Muhammad), signal victory, that Allah may forgive thee of past and that which is to come, and may perfect His favor unto thee, and guide thee on a right path" This Hadith also speaks of Jesus as being sinless. Bukhari, for example, relates the following Hadith: When any human being is born [lit. all the children of Adam as they are born], Satan touches [lit. thrusts] him at both sides of the body with his two fingers, except Jesus, the son of Mary, whom Satan tried to touch but failed. Only Jesus Christ ever claimed to be sinless: John 8:46; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 4:15; 7:26 Mohammed and all former Prophets were sinners, except Jesus Christ because he is God. Unite Wrote What are the two discrepancies that Christans cannot solve between two verses in the Bible? show us! In Surah at-Taubah, 9:30, we find the following statement: And the Jews say, "Ezra is the Son of God;" and the Christians say, "The Messiah is the Son of God." ... While the statement about the Christian doctrine is correct, the claim that "Ezra is the Son of God" is wrong and such a belief has never been a tenet of the Jewish faith. It cannot be found in the Jewish Scriptures nor in the commentaries like Talmud and Mishnah. If this was a Jewish belief in the past, then please state something to prove this claim. Until then, this is a clear error in the Qur'an. Peace |
