ArchivedMinisters say NO to marriagesI believe that the committment of marriage is a test by God to see if an individual can be a truly faithful servant. If you cannot remain faithful with a person, which you can physically see, how can you be faithful to Him that you cannot see? Marriage is not the piece of paper, the ring, or the ceremony that a human being or human institution provides you with. Jesus says it is act of two becoming one (i.e. sexual intercourse). They "should" then become committed to each other as long as they live. This act does not need a human's blessing. It only needs God's. The ceremony, paper and ring does however, help humans remember that they are in committed relationship, hopefully blessed by God. |
