Matthew 17:17 - Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. Ask yourself that question. A very wise friend of mine said,"If no one tells them the truth then how will they know" Debating and teaching in the spirit of meekness are different, one must not quarrel, because it is as Jesus said,"What comes out of the heart defiles the man." Long-suffering with a spirit if humilty might bring those who are lost to repentance, but a man who speaks with anger will only drive them away. Jesus said,"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." And as those who preach the word will be held accountable for His teachings. It is written: James 3:1 - My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. Or stricter judgment, The wise man preaches the truth but a foolish man preaches the tuth and does not do it. Prayer before responding to posts is helpful, John 6:44 - No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. The Holy Spirit of God dwells within all true believers, now we must understand that since the Holy Spirit dwells within us, it is that Spirit that will DRAW a unbeliever to God. And it is that spirit within us that must be utilized carefully in accordance to the Scriptural teachings. Arguing with non-believers will not have them to be drawn to God because of disobedience to the scriptural teachings, however responding in the spirit of meekness can very well draw them to The Lord because of adherence to scriptural teachings and doing the will of God. Even i myself must be careful. THE HARVEST IS PLENTY BUT THE LABORERS ARE FEW God Bless! |
