YUSUFALI: This day are (all) things good and pure made lawful unto you. The food of the People of the Book is lawful unto you and yours is lawful unto them.
PICKTHAL: This day are (all) good things made lawful for you. The food of those who have received the Scripture is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them.
SHAKIR: This day (all) the good things are allowed to you; and the food of those who have been given the Book is lawful for you and your food is lawful for them;
Question, from this ayah, by definition, is it possible that all good and pure to be unlawful so that they can be made lawful again?
Does not The food of the People of the Book contain the food of Christians (not Jews where pork was forbidden by law) ?
