Paran is located near the northeast of the Sinai peninsula
Strong's 6290 : Paran = A desert of Arabia
Strong's 6152 : Arabia is EAST of Palestine .
Your designation of Paran is therefore inaccurate.
Mecca is some 1,000 km away from Horeb
Again according to Strong's 2722 : Horeb = Name for Sinaitic mountains..
But where's that Sinai ?
Exodus 3:1 plainly identifies Mount Horeb of Sinai as being in Midian "
Now Moses was tending the flocks of Jethro his father-in-law ,the Priest of Midian , and he led the flock to the back of the desert and came to HOREB ,the mountain of God"
Mount Horeb & Sinai are in present-day Saudi Arabia ..and should not be confused with the " SINAI PENINSULA" which was in the time of Moses considered to be a part of Egypt ( designated as the wilderness of Egypt) , and Exodus 2:15 proves it ..since after killing the Egyptian ,Moses fled for safer ground (Midian) where the Pharaoh couldn't reach him ..
When Pharaoh heard of this ,he tried to kill Moses ,but Moses fled from Pharaoh and went to live in Midian"..Egypt and its holdings would not have been safe for Moses under any circumstances ; he wouldn't have fled to the Sinai Peninsula where Pharaoh had multiple mining interests and military outposts :
It's clear that Moses went OUT of Egypt to the land of Midian EAST of the gulf of Aqaba..Exodus 4:19 reaffirms this when saying
" Now the Lord had said to Moses in MIDIAN go BACK to Egypt for all the men who wanted to kill you are dead"
Now let's sum it all up:1) Sinai & the Sinai peninsula are TWO separate entities..2) Mount Sinai (Horeb) is in Midian = today's Saudi Arabia ...3) The wilderness of Paran stretches from Midian all the way to Mecca[/u]
