ArchivedIf Jesus Is G*D ,Why His Disciples Arent Called Prophets? :: Re: If Jesus Is G*D ,Why His Disciples Arent Called ProphetRe: If Jesus Is G*D ,Why His Disciples Aren't Called Prophet Since you want to get so technical and literal at the sametime, then you should take these passages into consideration as well: John 14:13>And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 16:26>At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you. And if you read the rest of the gospels, nowhere does it say God will save Christ from the death on the cross as you Muslims claim. Also, just to reply to your "conclusion," Jesus' own desciples worshipped Jesus and realized He was the Son of God: Matthew 16:16>And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. Right there we see that Peter admitted Christ was the Son of God. John 6:69>And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God. Right there Peter speaks for the rest of Jesus' desciples that they all believe Christ is the Son of God. John 1:1>In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:14>And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Right there, we see John(one of Jesus' desciples) admitting that Christ is God in the flesh. Let's not forget "doubting Thomas," another one of Jesus' desciples>And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. [John 20:28] Luke 24:51-53>And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen. Right there, Jesus' desciples worshipped Jesus. Matthew 9:6>But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. Right there Jesus has the power to forgive sins. Matthew 28:18>And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Right there we see Jesus has power on heaven and on earth, which links back to the Daniel prophecy: Daniel 7:13-14>I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. Right there we see that a "Son of man" will be given everlasting power. Whether you like it or not, ever knee will bow and every tongue shall confess to the Lord Jesus Christ. |
