ArchivedWho brought down the revelation from Allah to Muhammad?Peace Light, Angel Gabriel in some translations of the Quran is the Holy Spirit, because it in the Arabic text (which is the Quran) it means Ruh-ul-Qudus, which is close to the Holy spirit. However in my translation is leaves it as Ruh-ul-Qudus. There is no contradiction there. Moving on to John 14:17, it says the Spirit of truth, not the Holy Ghost. Mohammad can be the spirit of truth, because the word spirit is not always the holy Ghost in the Bible and can refer to a human being! What the verse means is that when one scripture is rejected by the people, God brings another scripture and the scriptures are confirming one another in their teachings of believing in one God. What the Jews carried was not the original teachings of Moses, so the Quran does not have to " fit together with established revelations". The Quran doesn't say "Pharoah", it says Fir'on, which is the arabic term. Yes the arabic term for king is malik, however, malik is different to the word Fir'on. This title fir'on was only for the Egyptian tyrant, and the same word has to be used to convey the story of Moses. ( peace be upon him). The word used is Injil, the Quran does not say the Gospel. Don't add your own intrepretations of the Quran. If you look at the Arabic Bible, it says "injil" of Mathew, "injil of Mark, Injil of Luke, Injil of John ( ofcourse the names are in Arabic too). In conclusion, no contradiction what so ever! Peace and Blessings be to the Believers |
