ArchivedGod hates homosexuality, but He loves the homosexual :: Re: DestructionRe: Destruction
OK Jesus says;'No man can come to Me except that the Father which has sent Me draw him'. Immeadiatley Jesus goes on the say that 'all who have heard and learned' from the Father come unto Me. This is far from an open call. The Father's direct action is required and ,as per v45 100% successful. It is also written that it is God ,alone who fashions the hearts of men Ps33;15, and He make of point of confirming this in R 9;18 declaring 'I will have mercy and I will harden' which Paul uses to say in v 16 that it is NOT the will of man but of God. As Christ said personally along these lines, and in direct answer to your question of the parables....Jesus used parables for the purpose of confusing the wicked so the would NOT repent Mark 4;11,12. And is a parellel situation Jesus quotes Is. 6;10 which tells us that God blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts so they would not repent. J 12;40. It is the great gift of God that allows us even our limited understanding and willingness to respond positively. It is the soveriegn work of the Lord and by no means our doing, as we are born dead in sin. So back to the subject. Our view of homosexuality must submit to His revelation, regardless of what we think or believe to the contrary, the Scriptures must be and are our only righteous guide. |
