animals have no souls?
well, hello beloved of god!
i had a concern. it may seem a little insignificant but i feel in my heart that there is a misconception stated above.
animals have no souls?
is this biblically correct? i don't know if it is. i know that the bible mentions that humans were created in his image (interpret as you will) AND i'm quite certain that the bible teaches us to respect our similarities with ALL living beings (which also have a soul):
[Job 12:7-10]
"But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee: Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this? In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind."
this verse contends that every living thing does have a soul. now is it really necessary to define "living thing"? not right now. its besides the point... i am not attacking the person who made claims without proper justification, but sometimes my heart is intolerant of untruths. therefore i am seeking the answers too, so I MAY BE WRONG and i will need to be corrected at times.
if the fact that animals do not have souls were not mentioned in the bible and the person claiming that 'ONLY humans have souls' has not recieved this revelation directly from the Highest Soul, it sounds only like (no offense) ignorance.
what makes a person the authority on discerning what has a soul and doesnt? (there is an answer if you believe in God) ...does the person making these claims really know what a soul is or do they only know for certain that at the least, humans have a soul, therefore concluding that they are the only ones based on their understandings as an egocentric being?
...therefore ask now: "what does not have a soul?" without answering it so quickly based on inadequate mental thought processes (compared to God of course, NOT ME). might wanna ask first: "what is soul?" with this thought process.
god bless you all.
