ArchivedArizona appeals court unholds ban on gay marriagesIf I understand this correctly, even if a State allows "gay marriages" such couples will not receive any Federal tax benefits. Also, Massachusettes still has to condend with an ammendment to their consititution that would ban gay marriages. This issue will eventually have to be heard by the U.S. Supreme Court, and although the east and west coasts are more liberal than middle America, you also have to contend with a move to ammend the U.S. Constitution that bans gay marriages. The Supreme Court would then have no Constitutional basis for allowing such unions as marriages. |
