What is the style of music/worship that your church uses? Has it always been that way? If not, when did it change? And what type of instruments does your church use in its music ministry?
I'll start things off:
My church is traditional in its music style. We always use a hymn book and sing the "great hymns of the faith." We'll sing choruses sometimes, but even those are always out of the hymn book - we never use PowerPoint or an overhead projector. My church is about 40 years old, and the music style has not changed at all in those 40 years. We use a piano and organ as accompaniment (we're currently out of an organist, so if anyone out there is an organist and is in the Reading, PA area, you're welcome to come visit my church!), and sometimes we'll have some orchestral instruments playing, too. We're not a huge church, so our fledgling orchestra is pretty small - 2 or 3 instruments mostly, sometimes up to 5 or 6.
What about everyone else?
