ArchivedNo justification for beliefHe allows Satan to do what He wants now until the final day of judgement. God gives everyone freewill, good or evil. But when it comes to the final day of judgement, that is when He will seperate His followers from His non-followers. God is giving warning before He makes judgement. The people who do not believe in Him or are doing evil, God is giving them so many chances. But I don't understand why people would not heed to the warning. In the bible, God says there is no way that we, as being finite, can understand Him. And it also says that if we were to see Him in this body we have, we would die in his glory. When Moses asked to see God's face, God would not allow it because God said to Moses he would die in His glory. So to answer your queston....I don't know. I've never seen God, and I'm glad that I've never seen Him yet. Good and moral isn't good enough. This world is VERY sinful. Even the people you would call "good" are hypocrites because they do things to look good on the outside, when they have not even fixed themselves on the inside. This world is filled with hypocracy, and Jesus was the only one that lived the sinless life that we could not live. People like to blame others by what they see externally without taking a look at themselves on the inside. We are all guilty of this during some point in our lives. Would you rather drink from a cup that was clean on the inside and dirty on the outside, or dirty on the inside and clean on the outside? Look at this country called the U.S of A for example. If you've done good all your life, but make one mistake, people will only remember that one mistake and forget the good you've been doing consistantly. We are living in a world where people neglect truth to fulfill their own lustful desires. People know how to discern trivial matters and blame others on trivial matters, and they don't discern on what's right or wrong. As Jesus said, "They strive at a gnat, but swallow a camel." A fool neglects his/her guilt. When your parent shows desciplinary action to you when you are small, you might look at that parent as being mean. But as you grow up, you realize that they were looking out for you and they were right in teaching you that lesson. Well, that's the same with God. People look at God as if He is this Being who is angry with everyone and wants to kill and take away their fun. God says, "He wishes that no man perishes, but all come to repentance." God is more loving than any human can be, but sooner or later He is going to have to reveal His wrath on those who would not take heed to His warnings. If your parents tell you not to do something or they will punish you, but you keep doing the samething over and over, and your parents are still warning that they will punish you, sooner or later that punishment will have to come. God is longsuffereing and gives them their whole lives to come to Him (Those who are capable of knowing He exists). But God is so good, that He is not going to blame anyone for their ignorance (Numbers 15:26). But many, if not all, will be without excuse on judgement day.
Salvation comes by following the teachings of Jesus. The bible says "He who believes in the Son(Jesus), will be saved." Believing in someone does not mean believing they exist, but rather putting their trust in them and follow their teachings. Example- If a husband does not trust His wife and the wife says, "Why don't you believe in me?" The wife is not saying, "why don't you believe I exist." Do you actually think Hitler and the KKK are following the teachings of Jesus? Putting faith in someone means to trust them and follow them. Killing Jews and hanging blacks is not putting your trust in Jesus. Don't you find it strange that someone will call themself a Christian and kill Jews? Jesus Himself was a Jew. Just because someone calls themself a Christian doesn't mean they really are one. Jesus said to love your enemies, because we do not really know who is following God or not, God will be the judge. They might be enemies in our eyes, but they might not really be doing anything bad in reality. So no one should be worrying if Hitler or the people of the KKK are going to heaven. People should be worrying about their own salvation and spreading the gospel, then let God do the rest. The bible says, "you cannot have faith without good works." You have to proof you believe in Jesus by following and obeying what He says. Jesus said, "If you do as I say, you are my desciples indeed." We are not saved BY good works, because our good works are tainted by sin. But we are saved UNTO good works when we put our trust in Jesus. * No Christian is perfect by the way. But that does not mean you cannot repent of your sins. Just think of a hobby you like to do. Can you do that hobby with perfection? Can you go through that hobby in your life without making one mistake? Ofcourse you can't. But eventhough you know you can't, that does not stop you from striving for perfection at it. You are not going to say to yourself, "I might as well quit, or mess up since I'm never going to be perfect." It is the same with sin. We know we are going to mess up, but that's no excuse to say, "I might as well sin on purpose since I will sin anyway." If you can strive for perfection at something as trivial as your hobby, why can't you strive for perfection at something that's infinitely more important? Following the teachings of Jesus is not easy, but it is a number one priority eventhough I know i will mess up at times. Just as how I strived for perfection writing this response by not having spelling errors, but you do not know how many times I had to go back and fix my spelling. I'm not sure if the end result will be perfect though. Hopefully it is. |
