Religion is nothing more than a quest for answers to the basic questions of existence, asked since mankind has progressed enough to have the mental capacity to ask them.
-Where did we come from?
-What is our purpose?
-What happens when we die?
-What are those lights in the sky?
-Where did we come from?
-etc, upon etc,
Religion is merely the localized musings of humans trying to answer these questions, propegated through word of mouth for years upon years uppn years- then written down, sometimes intertwined within our own history and called scripture, then paraded as "truth". That is why there is so much religion in the world, some made more famous because of the people who believed in it, some not so famous, and yes, some long since forgotten.
Truth is, Religion constantly separates mankind, which causes eternal conflict. Religion MUST be eradicated in order for paradise to be realized. Otherwise, there will always be war, suffering and difference of opinion. Welcome to Earth, human!
What you say is speculation and has not been proven against Christianity. Granted , faith is a factor when it comes to being a Christian, but every human being has faith in something. Therefore, I was speaking in the context of my faith, which Elsa also carries. If you want to look for somthing to blame when it comes to the suffering man inflicts on each other--you can blame that on sin. Even if you (unfortunately) choose not to believe in that concept, you forget to mention that we can hold different beliefs and still not kill each other, or we can unite in religion and find some other way to kill each other (many ways we inflict suffering other than religious movements).
