The Church is often referred to as the "Bride of Christ" and Christ is the Bridegroom. The scriptures speak of a "death" that occurs in marriage, i.e., separation from Husband from his Wife. Divorce was created because of infidelity, this can also be applied to the Church and its members. However it is not Christ who becomes unfaithful, it is the Bride or its members who decide on a spiritual divorce, the consequences? As death can occur in marriage in divorce, the ramifications of spiritual divorce is eternal separation from God, this is the "Second Death" Each Christian should ask themselves: "Till death do us part?"
