Science, Creation & Evolutionhumans run to scavange???Yes. Nylon digesting microorganisms were already found in the wild. Further on, the bacteria evolving in the lab did show the same growth behavior under standard conditions as the normal bacteria. Degrading of an ability? Hello? the bacteria did gain an ability. Literature is full of examples where organism got new abilities. Either way, it's a strawman, since evolution isn't about gaining or loosing an ability. Both would be an advantage, as long as it is beneficial for reproduction.
So please define kind. Has it anything to do with species? How do you define it for an asexual organism? How do you avoid the "that's only variation within a kind" argument? E.coli. has an extreme genetic diversity, it can mutate into different forms, it can live in different organism, It can evolve to get the ability to be resistant against new antibiotics and change its metabolism. So what else do you want? Should it mutate into an human? Let's discuss this but first define kind. |
