Christian/Muslim ThreadsMuslim view of the BibleUh? what in the world type of response is this? I say the Qu'ran does not contain everything in the Bible, and you say "vice versa"? LOL! Well, of course, the Bible does not contain the Qu'ran, otherwise we wouldn't be arguing that the Qu'ran is deceitful (modified) forgery, would we? LOL! You just rejected your previous statement, that the Qu'ran does not contain everything in the Bible. Why do Muslims go running to the Bible to find Scriptures that speak of Mohammed, when these Scriptures are not found in the Qu'ran? Yet, here you say that it is a replica of what was revealed before, and even more! Make up your mind! What answer? That Mohammed has no proof of his claim, yet it is the one who has been longer, and has far more evidence to it, that should prove itself time and again to Mohammed? That is not a reasonable request; that is rediculous! Please do provide your evidence to support this idea that the Sanhedrin made up the Torah. Notice, you said re-written, but the implication of your words is that the Sandhedrin came up with that information, as opposed to the information being authentic. So, I am using a word that better depicts your true accusations. You mean "of which", right? Commentaries, not Holy Spirit inspired prophetic words. What they said was merely a thought, and there were various schools of thought that contradicted eachother. They were 'food for thought'. The Qu'ran clearly says, "an to the Jews we gave..." This is clearly implying prophetic message, as given by the Holy Spirit. What is the relevance of this question? No, the Jews never claimed that they stemmed from other missing books. They would have considered these books to be "Biblical", as opposed to commentaries on the Biblical Scriptures. Please do give me solid evidence of this, because mere speculation or conjecture or guess work does not prove anything. Show me evidence that the Jewish Scriptures were ALL (absolutely ALL) seized and destroyed into irrecognizable peices, thus causing the Sanhedrin to "make up a whole new Torah". Nice, you accuse me of being prejudiced, simply because I am being objective. Who would have thunk it... This is extremely hypocritical of you to say. Being that you have spent an enourmous amount of time on these boards arguing against teachings and doctrines of "other Muslims", accusing us of being prejudiced and other things of that sort, for using the information for "those other Muslims who believe unlike you"... Yet, here you are trying to say that, because some heretical groups made up some writings -- which came about much after the earliest sources of the Gospel-- then your Qu'ran must be true. Nice. I have no idea what you are responding to, or what you are talking about. The God of Israel has always sent Israelite prophets to the Israelites. They were and are his chosen people. And these prophets always were accompanied by SIGNS from God, miracles, and prophecy. They also had other prophets with them, other people who would testify of eachother. But Mohammed was without signs, and without any other prophet to testify of him. When asked for signs, he provided none. Yea, I know, "oh, even if you see the signs, you will not believe..." That is nothing but talk, every prophet had given a many signs, were empowered by the Holy Spirit to perform miracles. Why should the "reason for which the creation was made" not have even more power? If Jesus, a lowly prophet, was filled with the Holy Spirit, and was given "all the signs" -- raising even the dead -- then why the most praised-one of all, why does he not have any signs? Quite an enigma, eh? But, no, it is because I am prejudiced, and because I am a disbeliever... that is why I don't believe... LOL! Ta, ta... |
