harry,
I assume ,from your comments, that you are a Oneness Pentacostal, Apostolic, Jesus name only , baptized in Jesus name only Acts 2:38 etc. etc. etc. This ignores the counsel of God's Word. Yes Jesus is God. He is the Son, He is not the Father, although many people call Him the Father. I do not think that the Persons of the Trinity are competing for our attention, and they are not jealous. Christ points to the Father, the Father points to the Son, and the Spirit points to Christ. They testify of One, because they are One.
1st Corinthians, confirms the "seperateness" of the Father and the Son. Chapter 15 vs. 24-28: "Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is expected, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued by him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all."
Your reference to Luke 10 is verse 21, and it has nothing to do with the text of 1st Corinthians 10. Jesus has commissioned the seventy (vs. 1-16), the seventy returned rejoicing that " Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name." Jesus then rebukes them and cautions them, " Notwithstanding, in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven." (vs. 20)
I suggest that you study the "contradictions" in Exodus 33:11, against 33:20. Find a way to reconcile that Moses, Abram, Jacob, all saw God, ". . . face to face. . ." with the fact that God says "no man shall see me, and live." In John 1 I think you will find your answer. And go to John 8:56-59 and look at what Jesus says and DOES when ". . . they took up stones to cast at him (vs. 59), and compare it to the account of God speaking with Moses face to face as friends (verse 11 of Ex. 33) and God saying no man shall see Him and live in verse 20, and also the manner in which God "passes by" Moses after He "Hid himself." (verses 22-23)
In John 1 we see that the Apostle John believes Jesus is the Eternal Word of God, and IS God (verse 1, 14), and that the Word is the Creator of all things (verse 3), and that "we beheld his glory, as of the only begotten of the Father", clearly distinguishing between the Father, and the Son (Who is the Word). Then after saying that we "beheld his glory, as of the only begotten of the Father, John says "No man hath seen God at any time, the Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him."(vs. 18, of The Gospel of John) So John first identifies the Word as God (vs. 1), the Word as Creator (vs. 3), The Word as Jesus (vs. 14, 18,), and the Word as the Son, and not the Father (vs. 14, 18,). The Apostle John is teaching the Trinity here in this and other chapters of his Gospel. As do Ex. 33, Gen 18, Gen 32, Hebrews 1, Is. 41:4 44:6, 48, Rev.1:8, 1:17,18, Rev. 22:12,13,20. . . .Titus 1:4, 2:13, 3:4-6. Col. 1:3, 12-19 and o and on and on. . .
The scriptures are in conflict with your point about the scriptures.
My regards,
Everett
