Hello,
In his essay, "What are we to make of Jesus Christ", C.S.Lewis, sets forth his famous trilemma.
Jesus said many things that un-believers find profound, or interesting, and even, in many instances, worthy of emulation.
This belies the point of Jesus' mission. If He were a "good man", then why did He claim to be God? Good men do not make such claims. If He was a liar, then why would He be taken seriously for 2000 years? If He is a lunatic, then why should we emulate His profound moral system?
This gives us the basis of Lewis' trilemma. Either Jesus Christ is a liar, a lunatic, or He is LORD.
I am convinced He is LORD!
Any thoughts?
Regards, Everett
