I will be glad to jump in on this thread. First let me state my worldview. The Bible is inerreant. It is the Word of God, and science is His creation. Hence the two will NEVER disagree.
My background is science based (i am a physician) although I make no claims as a geologist, or cosmologist, I have studied both.
God is not deceiptful, and He wants to reveal Himself to us.
That being said, the universe is 13.8 billion yrs old, and the Earth is somewhere between 4.2 and 4.5 billion years old. The evidence presented by Dr. Dino/hovind is weak, and chalked with errors. I have personally spoken with him, and he was cordial, and kind. He returned my phone call on his cell, and was a gentleman for sure. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for his debates. He was handled by Dr. Ross, and lowered himself horribly in that debate, with ad hominem implications regarding whether Ross was a Christian. Hovind became incensed when his "facts" were refuted with good science.
Humphries is likewise rife with bad science pretending to be good.
Scorpians flood exerpt was full of problems, I suggest the following article to help clarify.

I will add more to this as time allows. but let me say that the appearence of age theory is so "unbiblical" it stinks. God is not deceptive, and in Psalms he tells us to "ask the heavens" and nature reveals Him to us. Nature will not deceive us.
