Alpha wrote:Littleshepard, nice response to Mujahideen. Believing in Christ is not only believing He existed. Satan believes Christ existed. And if you are going to accept Christ as Saviour, you have to follow His teachings, which involve being Born Again and turning away from a life of sin. As the Holy Bible teaches, faith without good works is dead (James 2:20,26). You are not saved BY good works, but you are saved UNTO good works.
When you are in school, you take a whole bunch of tests. While taking those tests, it is best to strive to get a 100%, yet we all know that humans are not perfect and we will mess up sometimes no matter how hard we try. Now, if you know you will not get 100% on every test you take in life, are you going to fail on purpose? Then a person who says they are Christian and sins on purpose without any repentance, and says "My sins are forgiven," is not Born Again.
Thank you Alpha and Believer.
I have the courage now, although I'm still learning, to try and let others understand about our faith in our Lord.
I'm still learning and praying very hard.
Matthew 23:39 Jesus says:
39 "For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.' "
