ArchivedChristians and tattoos :: Re: Christians and tattoosIn the scriptures, God forbade His people to have tatooes because it was a pagan practice. However, I do not see the wrong in getting a tatooe as a means of witnessing. Let's not forget the issue of priorities here. In the Old Testament, God forbade His people to touch a dead body or someone with leprasy, and if they did, they were unclean. But when Christ came, He resurrected the dead and healed the sick and those with leprasy because the priority of life is more important than not being unclean. Let's not also forget Christ's famous arguments with the Pharisees about the Sabbath. So, unless you are getting a tatooe only for the gospel's sake and not to follow the world, then I do not see the problem. However, these are my words and not God's. But I am using the proper discernment which the Bible teaches. |
