ArchivedImmaculate conception and assumption of Mary
In reply to you Scorpion, its obvious you havent c;early understaood the verse John 19:24:25, read it again in context. It is obvious that Jesus did not have any other brothers nor sisters, because at Calvary He had to entrust His Mother to the DISCIPLE, to John, " and from that moment the disciple took her to his own home" (Jn.19:27). It would be unthinkable for a Jewish mother to go to live with a friend after the death of her son, if she had any other child of her own!... impossible!. Jesus said to the Disaciple John behold your Mother, not blood Mother spiritual Mother . Most Prostestants Claim the "brothers" of Jesus were: James the younger: "James son of Alphaeus (Clopas), and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the brother of James". I dont see John mentioned here. You are once again refuted, you have Just helped me prove Mary had no other siblings otherwise Jesus would not have given her as a mother to his Diciples and let her move in with them. Mike; As for you Mike, I will not answer anything that you Just copy and paste, stop being lazy, think for yourself. I wont sit here typing away while you just copy and paste so no I wont answer any of that, as its not your work, Just like Tony warrens wasnt your work. So NO copy and pasting please. Is Tradition really a man made thing? Protestants have a hard time with 2 Thessalonians 2:15. It contradicts their doctrine of Sola Scriptura, Latin for "the Bible alone," concerning the rule of faith. In the RSV, 2 Thessalonians 2:15 reads [emphasis added]: "So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter." This definitely favors the Catholic position, which holds that our rule of faith is the truth of Jesus Christ, and this truth has been passed on to the Apostles, and then to their successors, and their successors, etc. The current successors are the bishops of the Roman Catholic Church (which can be historically proven), so our rule of faith is, today, the teaching Magisterium of the Catholic Church, which keeps bringing to us the truth of Christ passed on to all the bishops. In 2 Thessalonians 2:15 we are told to follow the teachings of the Apostles, and not only what they wrote, but also what they transmitted orally. Mike could you show me any evidence of Sola Scripture, using the Bible? Peace "Oh my Jesus I love you to the point of madness" St Foustina |
