ArchivedWhy do you oppose gay marriage?I know you're not. But people like BQO and The Shrink do call me a bigot whenever I speak out against homosexuality. My response? The Lord teaches us to love the sinner, but hate the sin. It's as simple as that. Hell! I don't even hate Saddam Hussein. Actually, to tell the truth, I don't think of him at all, unless I see a news report on him. Here's the thing, Morgan. I (and I'm not the only one) don't think of a homosexual relationship as normal. Since I've been able to understand the concept of marriage, I've come upon a conclusion: that marriage should only be reserved for one man and one woman. Now, the more religious side of me is outraged at the fact that there are some people who actually refer to a marriage that takes place between two people of the same sex as a "holy union." THere is nothing "holy" about it. For the last time, be fair to those of us who are Christian, and ask the Muslim members of this board the same question: why are you opposed to gay marriages? If you don't ask people who participate in other religions the same question, I am not going to take you seriously. If a Bill is passed that allows gays to marry, I hope it will have one restriction: you must be married by a judge. Every time I hear that a so-called Christian minister has married two gay people, I feel sick. I'm not trying to be mean. I'm just being honest with you. And Alpha, as much as we dislike Morgan's views, she doesn't have to go anywhere. She's just as American as everyone else. |
