Crystal, I was involved in gay theology long before it became a force in mainline churches. It does not take a rocket scientist to see that gay theology is a bastardization of God's truth aimed at justifying a sinful lifestyle.
Hebrews 13:1-9
1 Let love of the brethren continue. 2 Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it. 3 Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are ill-treated, since you yourselves also are in the body. 4 Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge. 5 Let your character be free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, "I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you," 6 so that we confidently say,
"The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid.
What shall man do to me?"
7 Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever. 9 Do not be carried away by varied and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, through which those who were thus occupied were not benefited. NAS
Human nature has not changed since God created mankind and neither has God changed.
Since Eve men have changed God's instructions to satisfy their desires.
Gen 2:15-17
16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; 17 but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you shall surely die. " NAS
Eve added to this:
Gen 3:1-4
2 And the woman said to the serpent, "From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; 3 but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said,' You shall not eat from it or touch it, lest you die.' " NAS
Eve deceived herself by altering what God said; Adam on the other hand made a choice between Eve, his companion, and God, his Creator. Mankind is still making the same choices today.
Disobedience has consequences in this life and the next. This has been true from the beginning and those who ignore the past are doomed to repeat it. God's discipline is not always immediate, but His grace is and those who ignore His instructions will be disciplined in this life and for the unrepentant in the next.
Why does God allow men to live in disobedience? So they can choose to love Him or this world. It is our choice just like it was Adam's choice to choose now over then.
