It takes use of it often to become addicted.
To be honest i have never met a person who was addicted to it just people addicted to other drugs mostly my birth family to be honest.
Also there are no real case studys on children born to women who smoked it while pregnante who did not also do other things such as smoke tobacco and drink.
So whos to say which of what they did caused the birth defects?
Drinking causes the worse of things and yet its still quite legal and addictive.
Anything you smoke can cause broncitus even corn silk.
As for the carbon monoxide that generaly comes from the fillers that drug deals add to thier drugs it a much higher amount that what comes in the drug in its natural state.
Carbon monoxide comes from burning anything from wood to petroleum to cloth. BTW, I know a couple of people who are addicted to marijuana and can't start their day without a joint and it does cause cognative problems for those who are addicted to it. It is like cigarettes you can become so dependant on both drugs (and nicotine is a drug and the main poisioneous ingredient in some insecticides).
It grows wild in Arkansas and Missassippi and the differance in the street sold and the wild harvested are shocking really.
Legal marjuana does not have all the addatives however that bought on the street is EXTREAMLY dangerous because its often laced with Cocain, extacy, or many other drugs or fillers sometimes household cleaners.
The drug has a large varity of medical uses that acholhal and tobacco do not.
Its perhaps the best pain killer known to man.
On people like me who have a much differant brain chemistry than normal people the drug has a 190 degree differance in the way it acts.
I have ADHD and dyslexia as you know.
Give me a joint and I can think very very very clearly in fact I passed all my finals every year in collage and smoked it before every test.
I dont advise normal people to do this.
But I never became addicted to it..was I lucky?
I dont think so most my friends also smoked it and quite right after school stoped as well cant say any of us miss it.
Medication for my condition Ritalin, Cylert most of those are little more than legal speed.
I'm not saying that getting the drug and abuseing it isnt bad
Because ANY drug is bad if its abused.
But it does have its uses and it kills only a handfull of people a year were smokeing and drinking kill thousands each year.
On a scale of saying whats worse I think its obvious.
You have to look at all the reasons street bought drugs are a danger and thats a simple fact.
My dad grew a little pot plant as did my grandfather.
They thought it was funny and honestly so do I.
I think the laws controling drugs are good but I'm more for makeing tobacco illegal.
And teaching people the differance between fact of a drug and semi fact of fear of a drug.
The pain killing effects of marijuana pale in comparision to morphine and other products derived from the opium poppy. So you are rationalizing. As to the health problems associated with tobacco that depends on many factors. I have smoked for 42 years without any adverse effects; my chest exrays show my lungs have not been adversely affected by this habit. I would like to quit but for financial reasons not health reasons. The internal combustion engine has caused as many problems as tobacco but you are not going to give up your car are you? The smog problems in Mexico City and other major metropolitan areas are the direct result of burning fossil fuels for cars and industry.
