Or maybe I'm an atheist. I don't give it much thought, even knowing I'm potentially walking into a lion's den here. I am, however, serious about this question and hope someone can help me, as all other resources have failed me. The odds are good I'm posting this to the wrong place, as I'm having trouble finding my way around. I apologize.
By way of explaining my arrival here... My beliefs: the Bible is not real, but meant to serve as a guide for a race badly in need of guidance. I believe the same of every religion's Book and/or teachings, and mean no disrespect by it. I do not try to sway anyone to my way of thinking, and find myself unswayed by others. This, I believe, is as it should be. Religious belief, to me, requires BELIEF much more than fact and I leave it alone. But I do find myself curious and that's why I'm turning to you, who have obviously spent more time on the subject than I have. Always ask an expert!
I had once read an online debate which I have long since lost the link to, in which someone questioned the veracity of the Bible. Their argument was based on the fact that North America does not exist according to the Bible. Does anyone know if this is just a far-fetched nut making stuff up, or was this argument grounded in some possible fact which I could find imformation on? I ask because, let's face it, there's always the dinosaur argument, but this one seemed much more interesting.
Thanks for taking the time to read, and hopefully respond!
