ArchivedHow is this for a salvation message? The bible says we are not saved by the good works we do. But then the bible says faith without good works is nothing. To some people this might be a contradiction, but it makes perfect sense. We are not saved BY good works, but we are saved UNTO good works. When you become a Born Again Christian, you would obviously do good works. But those good works do not save you. It is the same with baptism. Getting baptized should be a priority just like doing a good work should be a priority. But neither of those things saves us. It is the blood of Jesus that saves us, not what we do. And when God judges, He judges the heart before He judges the external. Jesus' teachings clearly show this. |
