Gay school in New York!!!
Gay Bishop elected into the Episcopal Church.
Right now, homosexual marriage is allowed in Canada......it is coming here VERY SOON.
It is sad that we were not this far along when Aineo was young, only then did he still have the strength to accept himself. Now, he is a 60 year old dying man with no self-relationship, only masking it by a false relationship with a God. This relationship is not one of true Christianity, a true Christian would not judge others or try to change others. They would say....I will pray for you, that God's wll be done, and if that wll is for you to be Homosexual then so be it.
Aineo, your relationship is one of convience, you are selfish to use God in this way, you are using him to give yourself piece of mind in your decision to refrain from homosexual activity. You are masking your own life behing several select two-line passages in the Bible. Come out Aineo, there are people who accept you for who you are, the homosexual man that you are.....there are churches who accept you, churches that can help you.
The church where I attend has many gay couples and single gay men. We are blessed by two extremely gifted gay staff members....
Our associate pastor and minister of music
Our associate pastor and minister of youth
You should find a church like us, where you can be safe, and be loved and feel ok to be yourself. Aineo, I read your website thoroughly. The hate of your new lifestyle shines through like a light through a clear glass widow. You have been hurt so many time by men that you now want to turn against them in your own rebellion. In your heart, you still yearn for a picture perfect relationship with a man, you yearn to be whole and complete, and you yearn to have a positive emotional bond with a man who will not hurt you.
Until you come from behind your smoke-screen, this will not happen. I pray for you Bob.
I appreciate your prayers, but I will not buy into your theology.
Sometimes I feel like Elishah when he complained to God that he was the only one in Israel who followed God.
1 Kings 19:14-18
14 Then he said, "I have been very zealous for the LORD, the God of hosts; for the sons of Israel have forsaken Thy covenant, torn down Thine altars and killed Thy prophets with the sword. And I alone am left; and they seek my life, to take it away."
15 And the LORD said to him, "Go, return on your way to the wilderness of Damascus, and when you have arrived, you shall anoint Hazael king over Aram; 16 and Jehu the son of Nimshi you shall anoint king over Israel; and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel-meholah you shall anoint as prophet in your place. 17 And it shall come about, the one who escapes from the sword of Hazael, Jehu shall put to death, and the one who escapes from the sword of Jehu, Elisha shall put to death. 18 Yet I will leave 7,000 in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed to Baal and every mouth that has not kissed him." NAS
Rom 11:1-6
11:1 I say then, God has not rejected His people, has He? May it never be! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel? 3 "Lord, they have killed Thy prophets, they have torn down Thine altars, and I alone am left, and they are seeking my life." 4 But what is the divine response to him? "I have kept for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal." 5 In the same way then, there has also come to be at the present time a remnant according to God's gracious choice. 6 But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace.
NAS
The Kingdom of God is not a democracy you don't get to vote on the rules.
BTW, I think it is great you are introducing conservative Baptists to gay youth, this will show them that gay people are just that people, not some sub-species of homo sapiens in need of special condemnation. I also think it is great you are comforting gay youth by encouraging them to accept themselves for who they are since only then can they take a hard look at what they do. You may keep some blind to the truth, but you will aid others in opening their eyes to seek God's perfect will for them and it is not homosexual relationships.
I am looking forward to posts from Episcopalian for Schism in response to yours when he returns from vacation. We will then see how two professionals in the mental health area disagree about this issue.
Senseless rhetoric can apply to you and your side of this issue as well as we three.
As to churches that accept homosexuality as a viable alternate lifestyle approved by God, I did belong to a couple, which were part of the UFMCC and to tell you the truth I found them less than Chrisitan in there attitudes toward many issues and left them from sheer disgust. If BigQueerOrganist's post are reflective of your church I think your church needs to work on "love your neighbor" before you start "picking the splinter" out of my eyes.
