ArchivedEleven questions and excuses.Any good and accurate book on the history of the Consitution of the United States, as well as the biography of the framers of the Constitution will tell you that the U.S. Consitution is based a lot on Biblical principles. So the source is U.S. history. Again, read the writings of Thomas Jefferson (who was a theist, not a Christian), John Quincy Adams, and the other founding fathers of this nation and you can find the founders of this democracy stood on Biblical truth while making our laws. Yes, we the people elect Senators and Representatives to represent us the people. The laws are made to benefit us. We have a Supreme Court that is under the control of the Congress of the United States and is to be the final judge of Constitutional Law, not the maker of laws at the behest of the minorities with the best lawyers. The Congress of the country has allowed the Supreme Court to make law since the Congress is more interested in being re-elected than representing the majority who voted them into office. When the Supreme Court overturned the Texas sodomy laws they violated a provision of the Constitution that gives the States the authority to make their own laws, which are not specifically reserved for the Federal Government. There is no contitutional right to privacy, this is a concept made law by the Supreme Court not by our duly elected representatives. The first settlers to the country came here so they could have the freedom to worship God as they pleased. Now those of us who wish to worship our God as we please are being targeted as the cause of misery in the loves of those who refuse to accept the God of the pilgrims. "In God we trust" was the reason the Pilgrims came to America. Much of our law is based on English common law as well as Biblical principles. "You shall not kill, steal, murder, commit perjury, etc." are all principles found in the Bible and not found in other religious beliefs. So the basic justice you enjoy in America is based on the Bible. The only ethnic group that has been able to retain thier identity through out millennia of persecution and attempted intergration by their conquerors are the Jews, God chosen people. In the near future you will find out why. |
