Even if GOD said that the seed will be from Isaac. Ishamel is still Abraham's son. Are you saying that GOD simply wanted Abraham to remove Ishamel from his family? Of course not. He is still his son no matter what and he is still his first born son and he was the only son to Abraham when Isaac wasn't around.
GOD said he will make Ishmael a wild man but GOD also Blessed him. He blessed him and made him a great nation.
for in Isaac shall thy seed be called: does this mean that Ishmael is not his son anymore? Lie to me and say yes or lie to me and tell me he is his only son !!!!!
and the funny thing is this also:
And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.
GOD is still calling him his seed
Genesis 17-20 :" And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation. "
A GREAT NATION: what is the most significant thing that could make the Arabs great in the eyes of GOD?
One thing you should know about the Arabs, is that they were always devided into tribes, and those tribes always memorized their origins. It is done until this day. People can trace themselves to about 2000 years. Each Arab family has a huge family tree. Ishamel settled in Mecca around a well called Zamzam which is mentioned in the bible but not by name. Mohammed didn't even need to claim that Ishmael was his grand grand father because it was well known where every one came from. By the way, if you want me to prove to you that Mohammed is a grand son of Ishmael then you got to prove to me that all those generations listed in the bible are accurate also.
