Archivedsome of you people just do not get itOh, I forgot to address your assumption I would die a horrible death from AIDS. I just got the results from my last round of blood tests. My CD4 count is 788, well within normal range, which is 430 to 900, my cholesterol is 188, and although the viral load test was not complete I expect the result to be “undetected” using the super sensitive test. So for a 60-year-old 6’ 1” male who weighs 190 lbs I am as healthy as you are. In the last 3 years my viral load has dropped from 53,000 cpl (The highest I ever tested. Most AIDS patients close to death have a viral load in excess of 500,000 cpl) to undetected and my CD4 has risen from 250 to its current level. My triglycerides level is a bit high, but then I eat a high fat, high protein diet to maintain lean muscle mass, however I also exercise to maintain my weight. I fully expect to live longer than my grandmother and great grandfather who died at ages 93 and 91 respectively. |
